Behind the field notes

Good guides leave a paper trail.

Every guide links its references. We distinguish a release announcement, a database entry and a community battle observation because each answers a different question.

What is confirmed

The official announcement establishes the shower windows, seven core colors, the HP threshold and the supported launch battle modes. Leek Duck and GO Hub identify Green Core as the Orionids release. Database figures are labeled as Pokémon GO data.

What is not confirmed

We do not assign the remaining colors to showers, publish a shiny rate, promise universal bonus research, or claim a definitive PvP IV for the new form-change implementation. Shiny reference artwork is labeled as not confirmed in GO.

A deadline discrepancy

Leek Duck lists the Orionids research deadline as October 24 at 11:59 p.m.; GoDex’s report says 5 p.m. We call out that difference and advise using the countdown in your own game. This discrepancy does not change the published whole-event end time.

Update log

October 28, 2026: Rechecked the Minior Shower schedule, historical Orionids research, shiny status, catching and weather help, and community PvP move data. Leek Duck and GoDex also disagree on the rare bonus task’s Stardust reward: 774 versus 7,740. Neither number is independently verified here. Individual guide review dates remain visible on their pages.

October 26, 2026: Added the Pokémon GO field hub and event research register, and expanded catch, battle and schedule notes after Orionids ended.

October 23, 2026: Initial review of all seven guide topics, the released Green Core, shiny status, six shower windows, move costs and form-change limitations. Added the two verified YouTube embeds and reference artwork attribution.
